The Dominican Republic Coalition of Services Industries or CSRD (Coalición de Servicios de República Dominicana for its name in Spanish) was established on December 2012 as a platform to promote the export of services from the Dominican Republic.
One of the main objectives of CSRD and its members is to increase DR internationalization of service providers and to expand trade and cooperation with other firms in the Caribbean region. It also seeks to increase the competitiveness of the services sector in order to reap benefit of the signed trade agreements between the DR and US, EU, CentralAmerica and CARICOM.
The membership is expanding. However, the following associations are its founding members:
- CODIA (College of Engineers and Architects)
- ADOCINE (Dominican Association of Film)
- Dominicana Moda (Fashion sector group)
- Association of Call Centers
- ICT Chamber
- Charter Accountant Associations
- UNiBE (on behalf of the Management Association/Group in formation)
The CSRD is housed at the Santo Domingo Chamber of Commerce and it is also supported by the Directorate of External Trade (DICOEX) of the Ministry of Industry and Commerce of the DR.
