In April 2009, Kellie Cadogan of East Point Productions Inc. undertook her first efforts with respect to services exporting through participation in a Barbados Coalition of Service Industries trade mission to Belize.
Her company, East Point Productions, was in its first year of full time operation, offering vocal performances and vocal training services.
From the efforts made during the BCSI trade mission, Kellie was contracted by NICH (National Institute of Culture and History) to teach voice workshops in Belize for three weeks. At the end of the three weeks, Kellie had produced a small showcase with the students and which included a performance of her own.
The results and growth of the students during this three week period were of such a high quality that Kellie was asked to return for the summer of 2010, this time for a longer eight week period.
With an increased intake of students, including semi-professional students, Kellie not only continued in training these students but was able to elaborate an even bigger final production entitled ‘An Evening with Kellie Cadogan’. ‘An Evening with Kellie Cadogan’ was a Jazz and vocal showcase produced by NICH and co-produced and directed by East Point Productions. It was the largest such production of the summer arts programme to date.
This year Kellie returns to continue the vocal coaching, with an expanded base of students and reaching into additional districts of Belize.
